Noragi Coat / 野良着コート

今日は天皇即位の儀式という事で、祝日になってるんですね！昨日初めて知りました。

今年だけなのか〜。

日本では最近では月曜日を祝日にして三連休にしちゃう傾向がありますが、たまには平日のど真ん中に祝日も良いですね！

Hello.

Today is public holiday in Japan.

This year the emperor changed 30th April.

Today is ceremony for the new emperor.
It's a very celebrated day.

By the way, Japanese imperial family is oldest royal family in the world.

This period is about 2680 years.

さて昨日Instagramに載せた野良着コート。

あの野良着、もともとサイズ感が良くそのまま今っぽく着れることの出来る野良着でした。ただ袖が短かったので、付け足すのに古い木綿を使って、刺し子で縫い足しました。

Size of the Noragi is very good, so we can wear it looks like new fashion.

But sleeves are too short, so I added to sleeves by Sashiko.

And I added buttons. 

今回の野良着コートにもミシンは使用しておりません。

ミシンは早いし、楽だし、強度が生まれますが、誰が縫ったかは分かりません。

I didn’t use sewing machine this time.

The sewing machine is very convenient, very fast, be strong but we don’t know who sewed this.

私の縫い方は独特で、『雑さ』があります。

これは『家族の誰かが縫ってあげている』を表しています。

昔の家庭では、おそらく家族のためにお母さんが縫い物をし、縫い直しとか刺し子をしてたのでしょう。これは世界共通だと思います。

私はこの綺麗じゃないけど、温かみを感じる縫い方がとても好きなので、この手縫いを大事にしています。

手が慣れてくると勝手に綺麗に縫えてしまうので、『下手さ』を出すのがとても難しいんです。笑

My sewing method has unique personality looks like not good. 

I represent that “ Someone in the family sewed it “ in this method.

The family of long ago , I guess that mother of this family was sewing all the clothes. She is not professional but this sewing method had affection and kindness. 

And I think this is common throughout the world.

I love this sewing method, so I am sewing by handwork.

My skill of sewing will be good if I keep sewing every day, but I don't want to be good.
