私はとても情報に遅いのだろう。

世界でこんな運動があった事を昨日知った。

以前「スローイングダウンファストファッション」という映画を観た時も

化学繊維やファッションのゴミ問題を見て、そして劣悪な環境でブランドのために服を作らされている人達を見て、

ファッションに携わってきて約20年、どーにかした方が良いと思った。

I am thinking about fast fashion since when I watched movie “Slowing down fast fashion”.
I have been in fashion society for 20 years.

I should to thinking about Environmental problems caused by fashion.

このボイコットキャンペーンは52週間（1年間）は新品の服を買わないという事。
1年間、服を買わないなんて難しいなーと思いながらも、古着やリサイクル、アップサイクルの服は良いと言われたら、『楽勝！』と言えるだろう。
街に行けば必ず古着屋はあるし、リサイクルショップはあるし、ネット検索すれば佐々木洋品店も見つかる。

This is “We don’t buy new clothing for one year”. 

Is this difficult? I don’t think so.

You can buy vintage clothing, upcycle clothing, and secondhand clothing.

You can find these store very easy if you go to city or search on web.

古着の良さって何？

これは私が今まで何回もブログに書いてきた。

古着には唯一無二の歴史がある。

コーディネートは無限にあり、その服その国の知識や時代背景を学ぶ事ができ、地球に優しい。

What is good of vintage clothes? 

I have wrote that many times on my blog.

Vintage clothing has history.

And we can learn to knowledge of the clothes.

とはいえ、私もユニクロの下着やジョギングウェアを買う。そこは化学繊維の機能が必要だったり、古着では見つけられないものだ。

Although I say, I buy underwear and jogging wear from UNIQLO. 

I need synthetic fiber for jogging and I can’t find new underwear from vintage clothing store.

ファストファッションや新品の洋服が『悪』とされる理由、それは『無駄な消費』なのだろう。

The reason why fast fashion is bad, I guess wasteful consumption.

毎シーズン大量に服を作り、大量にお店に並べて、
シーズンが終わる頃にはタダ同然で売られていく。

安値になればなるほど、商品価値はなく、
一度着たら捨ててしまうようなものになってしまう。

They are making a lot of new clothing every season every year. 

And these clothing changes price down when finish season.

If price will be cheaper and cheaper, value of clothing will be lost.

So lost of value clothing will be garbage easily.

解決策があるとすれば逆に捨てたら、
それが地球を良くする物質で、
『どんどん捨ててくれ！』となれば新品のファッションが正義となるのだろう。

If there is a solution, this will be the only thing.

佐々木洋品店の場合。

古着屋から佐々木洋品店に変わった時、私は『綿と麻だけ』と決めた。

厳密にいえば、多少ウールの素材を使ったこともあるが、もちろんビンテージ100%ウールだ。

About our store, Sasaki-Yohinten.

When we start our store 2014,
I decided “ I choose that material of vintage clothes is only cotton or linen”. 
Since then I have only chosen cotton or linen.

(Actually I bought little bit vintage 100% wool a few times.)

とはいえ、色々調べを進めていくと、
古着の濃い染料などからは燃やすと有害物質が多少なりとも出てしまうようだ。

完全に地球に優しいとは言い難い結果になってはしまった。

ただ私の答えとしては、

『どこで買っても良いので大事に着て欲しい』

と

『買おうとしてるお店が服を大事にしてるかチェックして欲しい』

だけです。

『物を大事にする=もったいない』がたくさんの人に広まれば、
何かが変わるのかも知れない。

Although I say, my answer is

" We can buy everything, but let’s use them carefully , take care of your things ! " .

And "Let's check out if the shop you will buy is kind to the earth!" .
I hope that "Mottainai" mind spreads to the worldwide.
