Start to make/製作開始

こんにちは。
昨日の宣言通り、私は１０時間以上の縫いまくりました。

As I declared yesterday, I sewn for 10 hours

昨日から作り始めたシリーズ第７弾「スーパーボロボロジャケット」。
今回はドイツの古いワークジャケットをボディにして、
藍染古布を縫い付けることにしました。

It's "SUPER BORO BORO Jacket" that started to making this one from yesterday.
This time, I use German vintage jacket for body, then I patch to Japanese indigo fabric on this by hand stitch.

このワークジャケットです。
昨日はまず、ポケットやボタンを外し、
下地となる藍染古布を縫い付けていました。

This is German vintage jacket, 1950's.
First, I removed pockets and buttons.
Then I sewed Japanese indigo boro fabric of foundation.

こういう感じで大まかに縫い付ける作戦です。
最初に下地を作り、そして少しずつ刺し子糸を増やして行ったり、
小さいハギレを縫い足していきます。

First, It is a strategy that sews roughly.
I made the base, then I sew by incrementing the thread little by little.
And then I will sew small Boro fabric.

今回使う生地はこういうものです。

These fabrics are used this time.

大正・昭和初期の藍染古布。
比較的薄手の、野良着の裏地に使われていた藍染古布木綿を使用します。
前回と前々回のボロボロコートは結構カラフルなものに仕上げました。

Japanese antique indigo cotton, 1900's - 1950's.
I use indigo fabric which was used for the lining of the Noragi.
It is relatively thin.
Last time, 2 BORO coats were pretty colorful.

いろんな色のボロを使うのも縫っていてとても楽しかったです。
ですが今回は同じトーンで合わせてみようと思います。

It was very fun to sew using various colors of Boro fabric.
But I think I will try it with the same color's tone this time.

ここから一体、どんなジャケットが生まれることか。
私自身も完成形を想像できていないので、とても楽しみなんです。
昨日の終わりにはこうなりました。

What jackets will be born from these.
I am looking forward to finished this jacket, because I can't imagine the finished jacket.
It was like this at the end of work yesterday.

針の通りが悪いです、細かい織り目の生地をしたせいです。。。
古いものなのにとても丈夫に作られているので、油断しました。。。
なかなか作業が進まず、右袖の下地がもう少しで終わるってところですかね。
では今日、これから１０時間縫ってきます！

I can't stab the needle easily, because It is very fine weave of the fabric...
I was careless. . . Although it is old it was a very strong fabric...
I was not able to proceed very easily.
But I will try again today!
I go to sew this from now.
