Patchwork shirt/パッチワークシャツ

今日はこのパッチワークシャツを掲載しました。

Hello.
I listed "Sasaki-Jirushi"s patchwork shirt .

フランスの古いチェックシャツです。
プルオーバータイプで、ゆったりとしたシルエットです。

This is old shirt, made in France.
It's pullover type and relaxed silhouette.

実は今年に入ってから
フランスからパッチワーク系のアイテムを送ってもらった。
フランスに住むMr.Jさんに頼んで集めてもらった
パッチワーク系たちを洗濯して、そしてさらにパッチワークし
「佐々木印」にしようとしています。
今回のシャツもこの中になります。

Actually I got sent patchwork items from France.
I asked collecting stuff to Mr.J , he is live in France.
I received them, I am washing and making "Sasaki-Jirushi"  by them .

「このシャツはどう？」って聞かれたので
「OKです！」と即答した。
袖部分のパッチワークされているし、背中側もパッチワークされている。
問題は胸部分の日焼けのような汚れ。
こういう汚れは長年同じ状態で放置された古着に良く見かけるもの。
胸部分にきっとホコリが積もっていたのだろう。そして生地が変色したに違いない。

"How about this?" He asked me.
"I buy it!" I answered immediately.
This shirt has already patchwork on sleeves and backside.
But this shirt has big problem.
This shirt has big stains like sun-faded on the chest.
Such stain is often seen in vintage clothes neglected in the same situation for many years.
I think that dust might have accumulated on the chest part.
And the color of fabric changed.

ここで普通の人ならこの服を買わないだろう。
しかし私は買う。
そしてこう変えた。

I think that other buyer doesn't buy it.
But I buy it.
And I changed it.

汚くなった部分は汚い部分を切り落とし、違う布に変えた。
そしてほつれそうな部分には新たに補強した。

I changed fabric the chest part.
And I patched fraying part.

破れていれば「どう直してあげよう」と考え、
汚れていたら「どう隠してあげよう」と考え、
サイズが大きすぎたら「どう利用してあげよう」と考える。

I want about other buyers don't like.
If it breaks, "How can I fix it?"
If it is dirty, "How can I hide it?"
If it is very big size, "How can I use it?".
I like thinking about it.

昔古着屋をやっていた時、仕入れをする際に気をつけていたのはサイズだった。
対日本人の販売、サイズ感はとても重要だった。
流行りがジャストサイズ、もしくは小さめがいいとされる時代だったので
Sサイズ、Mサイズをたくさん揃えておかないと試着してもらっても
「ちょっと大きいですね」と言われてしまう。

When I had vintage clothes in Tokyo before 9 years,
It was the size that I was careful when buying.
Selling to Japanese people, it's very important that size of vintage clothes.
At that time, the trend of Japanese fashion was small size.
So I had to collect only Japanese S or M size, also it is very difficult.

それに比べて今は、ダメージや汚れなどはほとんど気にならない、
そこを取っ替えてしまえば、世界に一つの作品となり、佐々木印となる。
販売先も日本人だけでなく、世界各国の方に販売している。
特にアメリカに送ることが多いので、
日本のSサイズでは小さすぎる場合も多い。
だからサイズも女性のSから男性のXLまで幅広く取り扱えるようになった。

Now,
I don't care about damage, stain and size.
If it is breaks, I will repair it.
Then it will be "Sasaki-Jirushi" .
We sell to worldwide not only Japanese people.

So I don't need to care about size of clothes.

I will collect size of Women's S to Men's XL . 

日本という小さな島国を超えていくとそこには「可能性」だらけだった。
Going to beyond the small island country of Japan,
there are many "possibilities".
